I’ve never been a fan of U.S. farm subsidies. The idea of paying farmers to grow or not grow certain crops has always seemed directly contradictory to a capitalist economy but now I have even more of a reason to oppose these subsidies.

Wow. Check out this comparison of nuclear weapons. You can see the difference between the 15 kiloton nuclear weapon we dropped on Hiroshima and the 50 megaton weapon the Soviets developed. Hiroshima was so devastating, I can hardly imagine the destruction that would be inflicted from the Tzar Bomba.

I’m a little disappointed to say that both Maine Senators, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins voted ‘yay’ for S.30 which effectively bans forevermore stem cell research.
