Tea & code
Filed Under Random Thoughts, Site Updates | Leave a Comment
I have somehow become addicted to tea. Those of you that know me, know that I’ve never really been a fan of hot beverages and cold tea has never been particularly tasty to me. However, for some reason or another, I’ve been drinking more and more of it lately and within the last few days [...]

A Day in the Life…
Filed Under Pictures!, Random Thoughts | Leave a Comment
This is just a random few POV shots of my day on 10.16.2008. A friend of mine (Justin) created one and posted it to his Facebook account. I thought it was a pretty cool idea so I gave it a shot. In the end I finally had to upgrade to Quicktime Pro so I could [...]

Dino Furs Commercial
Filed Under Random Thoughts, Social Commentary | 2 Comments
I know I haven’t written much lately but I just wanted to mention something that I heard on the radio today. I was listening to the only local AM talk radio show and a commercial came on for Dino Furs. Blah blah blah about furs…everyone knows how I feel about wearing dead animal carcasses as [...]

Filed Under Personal, Pictures!, Random Thoughts | 1 Comment
I’m in Virginia Beach this week for a client visit. Luckily for me, my parents also happen to live in Virginia Beach and therefore I get to spend the weekend with them when I travel down here for business. Today my Mom wanted to take a trip over to SandBridge Beach.

Nothing to say.

Tzar Bomba Soviet Nuclear Weapon
Filed Under Random Thoughts, Science, Uncategorized, Viewing Suggestions | 9 Comments
Wow. Check out this comparison of nuclear weapons. You can see the difference between the 15 kiloton nuclear weapon we dropped on Hiroshima and the 50 megaton weapon the Soviets developed. Hiroshima was so devastating, I can hardly imagine the destruction that would be inflicted from the Tzar Bomba.

This guy is just trying to help out the local community and maybe drum up a little extra goodwill to help out business at the same time. It made me chuckle…

Hi, my name is John and I’m a Google Addict. I wonder if there’s a support group?
I’m completely addicted to all things Google right now. They’ve just got the slickest tools now. I’ve moved all of my email over to Gmail, even my maine.rr.com and Johnhaven.net mail. You can retrieve POP mail in Gmail! I [...]

Where do you get all of this info?
Filed Under Random Thoughts, Reading Suggestions, Uncategorized | Leave a Comment
I’m often asked where I get all of my info. Or I’ll say, “I just read an article” and they want to know where. Well, I’m not exactly sure but here are the sites I visit daily for brain food: CNN, MSNBC, Foxnews, Digg, FARK, Slashdot, Portland Press Herald, WGAN, Drudge, Wonkette, Wikipedia and BBC [...]

Monetary Reimbursement for Services
I don’t do this anymore so don’t ask. =P It’s never been anything but a complete and total pain in the ass so I simply don’t do it.
